KEITH E. ALNUTT
Keith E. Alnutt, 76, of Richmond, MO died at 11:25 a.m. on Tuesday, August 3, 2011 at Shirkey Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Richmond.
Keith was born on June 23, 1935 in Lawson, MO to Daniel Butler Alnutt and Hazel (Summer) Alnutt. He married Lois Jean Thomas of Richmond on November 22, 1967; she survives of the home.
Additional survivors include two sons and daughter-in-law, Steven Wayne Alnutt of Richmond and Scott Thomas and Heather Alnutt of Murrieta, CA; two grandchildren, Sean Thomas and Ashlee Renee Alnutt of Richmond; one niece and 2 nephews. Along with many special extended family members in both Missouri and Pennsylvania.
In addition to his parents, Keith was preceded in death by one brother, Victor Lee Alnutt.
Keith was a Letter Carrier for the U.S. Post Office in Excelsior Springs, MO for 25 years before retiring in 1992. He was of the Christian faith. He lived in Richmond area most of his life. He was a driver for Swafford's Ford and Easley's Auto Auction Service. He also delivered prescription medicine for the Medicine Shoppe and Economy Drug in Richmond. He was a free lance photographer for the Richmond Daily News from 1983-1991. He was the past president of the Richmond all Sports Club and a member of the chain gang for Richmond High School football program from 1985-1995. He was an U.S. Navy-Air force veteran.
The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the Richmond High School Athletic Department.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, August 8, 2011 at 10:30 a.m. at the Thurman Funeral Home in Richmond. Visitation will be held on Sunday, August 7, 2011 from 7:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Thurman Funeral Home. Burial will be in the Sunny Slope Cemetery where military honors will be conducted by the Ray County Veterans in Richmond.
