KENNETH VIRGIL EASTEP
Kenneth Virgil Eastep, 81, of Richmond, Mo, died on Saturday March 5, 2016 at his home.
Kenny was born on May 3, 1934 in Athens, Alabama to William Jester and Laura (Carter) Eastep. He married Marcia Jane Richie of Richmond, Mo on November 26, 1960. She survives of the home.
Additional survivors include: 3 daughters and sons-in-law, Joni and Jeff Goodman of Liberty, Mo, Traci and Michael Scheible of Liberty, Mo and Kenna and Lance O'Sullivan of Rayville, Mo; 1 sister and brother-in-law, Sherry and Bill Wallace of White House, TN; 5 grandchildren, Evin Goodman, Olivia Scheible, Isaac O'Sullivan, Riley O'Sullivan, Lukas O'Sullivan and 2 step grandchildren, Brock Goodman and his wife, Sarah and Tyler O'Sullivan. Two sisters-in-law also survive, Betty Eastep of the state of Washington and Edith Eastep of Louisburg, TN.
In addition to his parents, Kenny was preceded in death by 3 brothers, Bobby, Lavon and Larry Eastep; and his step-mother, Lola Taylor Eastep, who raised him.
Kenny was an auto body repairman. He worked for Harrison, Swafford and Calvert's body shops, all in Richmond. He was of the Christian faith. He was a United States Army veteran of the Korean War. He lived in the Rayville and Richmond areas most of his life.
In Lieu of flowers the family suggests memorial contributions be made to the Kenneth Eastep Memorial Fund c/o Thurman Funeral Home, P. O. Box 190, Richmond, MO 64085.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, March 10, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. at the Thurman Funeral Home in Richmond. Visitation will be held on Thursday, March 10, 2016 from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the Thurman Funeral Home in Richmond. Burial will be in Richmond Memory Gardens Cemetery, where military graveside services will be conducted by the Ray County Veterans.
