KENNETH MARVIN FOSTER

Kenneth Marvin Foster, 80, of the Hardin, MO area, died at 2:35 p.m., Wednesday, August 11, 2010, at his home.
Kenneth was born February 12, 1930, near Hardin, to Marvin Luther Foster and Georgia Elizabeth "Beth" Mayes Foster. He married Barbara Ann Frazier of rural Hardin on October 27, 1951; she survives, of the home.
Other survivors include three sons and one daughter-in-law, Kevin Elbert Foster of Hardin, Kirk Wilson Foster and his companion, Lauretta Enochs of Columbia, MO, and Kyle David and Anna Marie Foster of Hardin; one sister, Mary Belle Ingino of Independence, MO; eight grandchildren, Aaron Ray Hayden, Katherine Elizabeth "Beth" Fortin and her husband, Joel, Callie Anne Foster and her fiancé, Ryan Moudy, Meghan Faith Foster, Josie Marie Medlock, Benjamin Micheal McKellips, Carrie Lee Smith and Bella Grace Foster; four great-grandchildren, Charis Ysabella Fortin, Diymon Yvette Gillespie, Madison Olean Medlock and Jordan Lashae Smith; several nieces and nephews; and his loving canine companions, Lugo and Didymus.
Kenneth was a lifelong farmer. He had managed the Bartlett Grain Elevator in Hardin for 16 years. He was a 1948 graduate of the Hardin High School. He was a former Scout Leader. He was a former member of the Hardin Lions Club and Optimist Club. He had formerly served on the Ray County Welfare Board and the Ray County Farm Bureau Board. Kenneth lived in the Hardin area most of his life.
He was a U.S. Marine veteran of the Korean War.
The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the Morton Baptist Church or the Hickory Grove Cemetery.

Funeral services will be Monday, August 16, at 2:00 p.m. at the Morton Baptist Church, north of Hardin, MO. Visitation will be Sunday, August 15, from 7:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Thurman Funeral Home, Richmond, MO and Monday, August 16, from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the Morton Baptist Church. Burial will be at Hickory Grove Cemetery, north of Richmond, MO, where military graveside services will be conducted by the Ray County Veterans. Arrangements: Thurman Funeral Home, 507 E. Main, P.O.
