Kenneth W. Lam

Kenneth W. Lam, 87, of Hardin, MO died Sunday, April 3, 2016 at Shirkey Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Richmond, MO.

Kenneth was born on June 17, 1928 in Amarillo, TX to Ralph and Nellie (McCarthy) Lam. He married Anna Belle Trindle of Hardin on May 26, 1951. She preceded him in death on May 14, 2012.

Survivors include one son and daughter-in-law, Rick and Pam Lam of Richmond; two brothers, Harold and Marilyn Lam of Tightwad, MO and Larry and Elaine Lam of Hardin; 2 grandchildren, Tracy Anderson and her husband, Dustin and Travis Curtis and his wife, Casey; 5 great-grandchildren, Nicholas and Elijah Anderson, Kelsey, William and Lincoln Arnold; and several nieces and nephews also survive.

In addition to his parents and wife, Kenneth was preceded in death by two brothers, George Lam and Don Lam.

Kenneth was a United State Army Veteran of WWII. He was a lifetime farmer. He was a member of the Hardin American Legion Post. He served on the Shirkey Leisure Acres Rest Home Board for several years. He served on Ray County Levee District #2. Kenneth served on the Hardin School Board for several years, where he was a school bus driver and was timekeeper for the Hardin-Central School District. He had lived in the Hardin area most of his life. He was a member of the Hardin First Baptist Church.

The family suggests memorial contributions be made to either the Hardin First Baptist Church or to the Hardin Cemetery.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, April 6, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. at the Hardin First Baptist Church. Visitation will be Wednesday, April 6, 2016 from 1:00 p.m. at 2:00 p.m. at the church.
