KENNETH E. THOMSON

Kenneth E. Thomson 93, of Richmond, MO died at 12:00 p.m. on Tuesday, December 20, 2011 at Truman Medical Center in Kansas City, MO.
Kenneth was born on February 28, 1918 in Ray County, MO to Farris and Mattie M. (Kincaid) Thomson. He married Delores Joan Graham of Richmond on October 19, 1957; she preceded him in death on August 20, 2003.
Survivors include two sons and daughter in-law, Doug and Sharea Kirk of Richmond and Dennis and Kristy Kirk of Richmond; four grandchildren and their spouses, Douglas and Karissa Kirk, Christopher and Robin Kirk, Cody Kirk and Cassie Kirk; and three great-grandchildren, Megan, Ryan, Andrew and Taryn.
Kenneth was a union carpenter. He was of the Christian faith. He was a lifelong Ray County resident. Kenneth was a member of the United Brotherhood of Carpenters Union and Richmond Masonic Lodge #57 A. F. and A.M. He was a United States Navy Veteran of WWII. He was a lifetime member of the Ray County Veterans, American Legion and the Disabled Veterans Association.
The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the Missouri Department of Conservation.

Gravesides services will be held on Friday, December 23, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. at the New Hope Cemetery north of Hardin, MO, where military honors will be conducted by the Ray County Veterans. Visitation will be held on Friday, December 23, 2011 from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at the Thurman Funeral Home in Richmond.
