KIM (ROGERS) VANDIVER

Kim (Rogers) Vandiver, 52, of Richmond, MO passed away Monday, August 20, 2012 at her home surrounded by family after a long courageous fight with breast cancer.
Kim was born on January 25, 1960 at Ray County Hospital to the late Paul and Betty (Knipschild) Rogers. Kim married Dale Vandiver on August 4, 1987. They spent 25 wonderful years of marriage together.
Kim is survived by her husband, Dale of the home, their 3 beautiful children, Blaire Shanon Vandiver of St. Louis, MO, Jacob Dale "Jake" Vandiver of the home and Gabe Dylan Vandiver of the home; one brother and sister-in-law, Lynn and his wife, Cathy Rogers of Richmond; nieces and nephews, Roy and Elizabeth Rogers, Rachel and Jesse Rice, Ryan Rogers and Cassie Smith, Caleb Rogers and Mandee Johnson, Emily and Tim Hord; great nieces and nephews, Alexis, Wyatt, Quinn and Grayson Rice, Dominick Hord and Allyson Rogers; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Gary and his wife, Penny Vandiver of Richmond; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Sara and her husband, John Fougere of Columbia, MO; nieces and nephews, Ashton, Abby and Evan Vandiver, Drew, Grant and Luke Fougere.
Kim is a member of the Kansas City Realtors Association and the National Realtors Association. Kim sold real estate for 13 years, opening Vandiver Realty on February 6, 2009 when she acquired her broker's license. She was a member of the Richmond United Methodist Church. She served on several boards including, Shirkey Swim Club, Richmond Chamber of Commerce and sorority Beta Sigma Phi, Chapter Mu. Kim was a 1978 graduate of Richmond High School. She graduated Kansas City College of Dental Assistant in 1980. She worked for Business Men's Assurance in Kansas City, MO for 10 years. She also worked for BMA Reality in Richmond for 10 years. Kim was a lifelong Ray County resident.
The family suggests memorial contributions may be made either to the Richmond Education Foundation or to Wayside Waifs.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, August 23, 2012 at 10:30 a.m. at the Richmond United Methodist Church. Visitation will be Wednesday, August 22, 2012 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Richmond United Methodist Church. Burial will be in the South Point Cemetery near Orrick, MO.
