Larry Ben Weber, 67, of Richmond, died Tuesday, May 8, 2018 at North Kansas City Hospital.

Larry was born on August 25, 1950 in Ray County, MO to Benjamin Franklin and Joyce (Hayes) Weber.

Survivors include; daughter, Jennifer Lathrop and her significant other, Darrin Smith of Richmond, son and daughter-in-law, Shawn and Jennifer Weber of Richmond; one brother, Mark Weber of Richmond; one sister and brother-in-law, Connie and David Baird of Garden City, MO; grandchildren, Thales Lathrop, Kyra Lathrop, Brandan Evans, Alyssia Weber, Natalee Weber, Haylee Weber and Brook Weber; aunt, Jerry; great-aunt, Lucille; and son, Craig Weber and his family of Decatur, IL.

In addition to his parents, Larry was preceded in death by one son, Chris Weber; and one brother, Bruce Weber.

Larry was a 1968 graduate from the Richmond High School. He proudly served his country in the Army during Vietnam from 1973 to 1975. Larry's work history over the years included; working for the Local Carpenter's Union and then working for over 30 years for Railroad Material Salvage as a heavy equipment operator.  Larry enjoyed being a part of his grandkids life, he was very proud of them. He was a hard worker, always on the move, helping others and enjoyed to chit-chat.  Larry was of the Christian faith. He lived most of his life in Richmond.

The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the family's choice.

Memorial visitation will be held on Tuesday, May 29, 2018 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Thurman Funeral Home in Richmond. Memorial graveside services will be held on Wednesday, May 30, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. at Memory Gardens Cemetery in Richmond where military honors will be provided by the Ray County Veterans.
