LARRY LEE WRISINGER
Larry L.Wrisinger, 71, of Richmond, MO died on Thursday, February 16, 2012 at North Kansas City Hospital, North Kansas City, MO.
Larry was born on August 3, 1940 in Richmond to Amos and Delka (O'Dell) Wrisinger. He married Judy A. Houston of Higginsville, MO on June 23, 1967; she survives of the home.
Additional survivors include two sons and daughter- in-law, Brian J. and Dana Wrisinger of Richmond and Aaron Lee Wrisinger and fiancé, Alisha Williams of Richmond; one daughter and son- in-law, Rachel D. and David Thomas of Richmond; one brother and sister- in-law, Farrell and Maxine Wrisinger of Richmond; one sister, Bernita Carter of Richmond; six grandchildren, Brandon, Chelsea and Dalton Dunwoodie, Alex and Sydney Wrisinger and Tayla Williams; two great-grandchildren, Elise Hendricks and Cora Dunwoodie; many nieces and nephews also survive.
Larry was a general foreman for Lake City Arsenal for 40 years before retiring in 2006. He was a member of the Henrietta Baptist Church and was serving as treasurer. He was a lifelong Richmond resident. Larry was a desk clerk for the Richmond Super 8 Motel for the last 14 years. He was a member of the Richmond V.F.W. Post #4052. Larry was a U.S. Air Force Veteran of the Vietnam War. He received his B.S. degree in Business from CMSU. Larry coached little league baseball and was a Boy Scout pack leader.
The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the Arthritis Foundation.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, February 21, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. at the Henrietta Baptist Church. Visitation will be Monday, February 20, 2012 from 7:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Thurman Funeral Home in Richmond. Burial will be in the Missouri State Veterans Cemetery in Higginsville, MO where military honors will be provided by the Ray County Veterans.
