LAWRENCE J. BERSANO, JR.

Lawrence J. Bersano, Jr., 79, of rural Richmond, MO died on Saturday, January 30, 2016 at his residence.
Lawrence was born on December 23, 1936 in Lexington, MO the son of Lawrence and Lorraine (Rasch) Bersano, Sr. He was united in marriage to Geraldine Francis "Gerri" Helm on December 27, 1958 in Santa Barbra, CA.
Survivors include: one son Rick Bersano and his wife Sherry of Richmond, MO; one daughter Teresa Bersano of Lexington; two grandsons Erick Bersano and his wife Terri and Rambo Bersano; one great-grandson Everett Joseph Bersano; one brother Larry E. Bersano and his wife Debbie of Lexington and a special friend Ruth Gross.
Lawrence was preceded in death by his parents, wife "Gerri" (8-7-2010) and his sister Delpha L. Taloney.
Lawrence was a heavy equipment operator and owned his own business, Bersano Construction Company for over twenty years. He also worked for Green Quarries as an equipment operator. He was a member of the Operating Engineers Local Union # 101. Lawrence was a member of the First Baptist Church in Richmond. He is a United States Army Veteran and a Missouri National Guard Veteran.
The family suggest memorial contributions be made to the new Fresenius Medical Care-Letholt Dialysis Center in Richmond.

Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, February 2, 2016 at Thurman Funeral Home, Richmond. Visitation will be from 7:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Monday, February 1, 2016 at Thurman Funeral Home, Richmond. Interment will be in Lexington Memory Gardens, Lexington.
