LEE J. BROWN

Lee J. Brown, 81, of Richmond, MO, died at 3:46 p.m. on February 11, 2011 at Shirkey Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Richmond.
Lee was born on June 23, 1929 in Waco, TX to William Hubert and Nora (York) Brown. He married Sarah Ann Hughes of Sedalia, MO on November 7, 1955; she survives of the home.
Other survives include two sons and one daughter in-law, Ronald and Joyce Brown of Leesville, SC and Greg Brown of Excelsior Springs, MO; two daughters and one son in-law, Patricia Brown of Lawson, MO and Kathryn and Nick Oster of Richmond; five grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren; six brothers and five sisters-in-law, Lewis and Shirley Brown of Troy, MO, Charles Brown of Troy, William and Nellie Brown of Richmond, Larry and Brenda Brown on Williamsburg, MO, Bob and Maggie Brown of Marble Hill, MO and Billy and Debbie Brown of Troy; five sisters and two brothers in-law, Elsie Lindsey of Utica, MI, Dorothy Masters of Pacific, MO, Joyce and Al Vance of Troy, Linda and Terry Weinrich of Marble Hall, MO and Carolyn Mautino of Jackson, MO also survives.
In addition to his parents, Lee was preceded in death by one son Kenneth W. Brown.
The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the Voice of the Martyrs.
Lee was an assembler for General Motors for 33 years before retiring in 1984. He had lived most of his life in the Richmond area. He was of the Christian faith. He was a member of the Local United Auto Workers. He was a United States Army Vet for the Korean War.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, February 17, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. at Thurman Funeral Home in Richmond. Visitation will be held on Thursday, February 17, 2011 from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. at Thurman Funeral Home in Richmond. Burial will be held in Mount Moriah Terrace Park Cemetery in Kansas City, MO with military honors.Thurman Funeral Home in Richmond is in charge of the arrangements.
