LILLIAN L. COFFER
Lillian L. Coffer, 92, of Richmond, MO, and formerly of Camden, MO, died at 5:56 a.m., Wednesday, April 28, 2010, at Ray County Memorial Hospital, Richmond, MO.
Lillian was born October 23, 1917 in Camden to Oscar O. and Olinda A. (Prieor) Coffer.
Survivors include three nephews and one niece and their families. She is also survived by two special nieces, Shirley Britt of Liberty, MO and Betty Clark of Kansas City, MO; and one special nephew, Rev. Jim Coffer of Caruthersville, MO.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by one brother, Robert Otis Coffer; and one sister, Gladys Marie Coffer.
Lillian lived in Camden most of her life and graduated from Camden High School in 1935. She moved to Richmond in 1996. She was a member of the Camden United Methodist Church, having joined in 1927. She was an active and valued member of the church all of her life, and fully participated in its ministries until the time of her death. Throughout her years of membership, she actively served Christ through his church. She was also a member of the Camden Rebekah Lodge. Lillian served as the Camden City Clerk for 17 years. She was also Secretary of the Camden Special Road District from 1983 to 2010.
The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the Camden United Methodist Church or the Ray County Hospital Oncology Department.
Funeral services will be Monday, May 3, at 10:00 a.m. at the Thurman Funeral Home, Richmond, MO. Visitation will be Sunday, May 2, from 7:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Thurman Funeral Home, Richmond, MO. Burial will be at the Craven Cemetery, Camden, MO. Thurman Funeral Home, Richmond, MO is in charge of the arrangements.
