LOIS ELIZABETH (BOWERY) MCFEE

Lois Elizabeth (Bowery) McFee, 91, of Richmond, Mo, died Friday, December 5, 2014 surrounded by her loving family at her home in Richmond.
Lois was born on December 12, 1922 in Des Moines, Iowa the daughter of Jack and Sarah (Rookstool) Bowery. She married Shannon Lloyd McFee of Ray County, Mo on June 28, 1941; he preceded her in death on January 16, 1991.
Survivors include: four sons Monty Lynn McFee (Kathy) of Richmond, Mo, Jay Dean McFee (Doreen) of Hardin, Mo, Ray Gene McFee (Jessica) of Raytown, Mo, and Mark Eldon McFee (Dee) of Richmond; one daughter Mary Elizabeth Williams (Lester) of Richmond; 22 grandchildren; 35 great grandchildren; 12 great-great grandchildren; and one brother Jack Bowery (Eleanor) of Kansas City, Mo
In addition to her parents and husband Lois was preceded in death by a son Michael Lloyd McFee, a daughter Lora Mae McFee, a granddaughter Leslie Vandiver, two brothers Edward and Carl, and four sisters Opal, Jessie, Betty and Freda.
Lois moved from Iowa to Missouri as a child and graduated from the Richmond High School in the Class of 1940. In addition to raising her family Lois also worked outside the home. Lois worked as a Nurses Aid at Ray County Hospital. Her last job, for many years was a dishwasher and server at the Richmond Schools. She enjoyed all of her family, loved playing bingo and doing puzzles.
The family suggest memorial contributions be made to the donor's choice.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, December 10, 2014 at 2:00 P .M. at Thurman Funeral Home in Richmond. Visitation will be one hour prior to services at the funeral home on Wednesday. Burial will follow services in Hickory Grove Cemetery, north east of Richmond. Thurman Funeral Home in Richmond is in charge of the arrangements.
