LOIS JEAN POPE

Lois Jean Pope, 81, of Richmond, MO, died at 11:58 p.m. on Sunday, July 15, 2012, at the Ray County Memorial Hospital in Richmond.
Lois Jean was born on March 28, 1931 in Ray County, MO to Roy and Caroline (Williams) Neff. She married Dean E. Pope of Regal, MO on February 4, 1950; he survives of the home.
Additional survivors include: three daughters and their spouses, Connie and Mike McConnell of Cameron, MO, Cindy and Bob King of Richmond, MO, Cathy Dailey of Montgomery City, MO, one brother, Tommy Neff and his wife, Ruth of Willis, TX, one sister, Ruth Ann Reiter and her husband, Terrence of Chillicothe, MO, four grandchildren, Quinn McConnell and his wife, Kelly, Brett McConnell and his wife, Kristin, Heidi Dailey and her companion, Russell Powell and Cody Dailey. Nine great-grandchildren also survive.
In addition to her parents, Lois Jean was preceded in death by two brothers, R. M. Neff and Kendall Neff, one sister, Kathleen Bengston and one great-grandson, Max McConnell, who died in infancy.
Lois Jean was a homemaker. She also worked as a beautician at the Beauty Spot in Norborne, MO for several years. She was a former member of the Russellville Extension Club. She was an active 4-H leader for over 25 years. She was a member of the New Hope Methodist Church. She lived most of her life in the Regal, MO area, before moving to Richmond in 2002.
The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the New Hope Methodist Church.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, July 19, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at the New Hope Methodist Church north of Hardin, MO. Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at the Church.
