LONNIE DEAN SPEASE

Lonnie Dean Spease, 69, of Lexington, MO died Tuesday, September 22, 2015 at his home.

Lonnie was born on August 24, 1946 in Lexington to George Henry and Anna Louise (Cado) Spease.

Survivors include; one son and daughter-in-law, Philip and Misty Spease of Lexington, MO; one daughter and son-in-law, Pamela Sue and Jeff Strickler of Ozark, MO; and 5 grandchildren, Shannon Strickler, Chance Strickler, Joseph Spease, Kayla Spease and Alexis Spease.

In addition to his parents, Lonnie was preceded in death by one son, Joseph Spease; and one granddaughter, Ashley Spease.

Lonnie was a United States Army Veteran of Vietnam War, receiving a purple heart. He worked for United Telephone, Sprint and Century Link as a service technician for 30 years. He was of the Christian faith. He lived in Lexington most of his life. Lonnie loved to hunt and fish.

The family suggests memorial contributions be made to either the Disabled American Veterans or to the Wounded Warriors.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, September 25, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. at the Thurman Funeral Home in Richmond. Visitation will be Thursday, September 24, 2015 from 7:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Thurman Funeral Home in Richmond. Burial will be in the Missouri State Veterans Cemetery in Higginsville, MO, where military honors will be provided by the Ray County Veterans in Richmond, MO.
