Loretta June Stigall, 86, of Lexington, passed away on Wednesday, April 19,2023 at Centerpoint Medical Center in Independence.

Loretta was born on July 1, 1936, in Ray County, the daughter of William Myrel and Loretta Jewel (Foster) Harrison. She was united in marriage to David Keith Stigall of Henrietta on July 14, 1956; he preceded her in death on December 23, 2021.

Survivors include: two sons, David (Angie) Stigall of Chillicothe and Vince Stigall of Lexington; 12 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandsons; brother, Marlin Harrison of Lexington; and numerous nieces and nephews also survive.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and daughter, Kerry Fulks.

Loretta was reared and educated in the area of her birth and graduated from Henrietta High School. After high school she attended nursing school at Penn Valley College in Kansas City and became a registered nurse. Loretta had been an administrator of Riverbend Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Lexington. She had a passion for elder care and also for children. She was a member of Henrietta Baptist Church. She enjoyed 65 years of marriage.

Graveside services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 22, 2023, in Richmond Memory Gardens. Visitation will be prior to services from 12:00 p.m. to 12:45 p.m. at Thurman Funeral Home, Richmond.
