LYDIA IRENE BROWN

Lydia Irene Brown, 93, of Richmond and formerly of Kansas City, MO died on Friday, March 23, 2012 at 7:15 a.m. at Shirkey Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Richmond.
Irene was born on September 20, 1918 near Rayville, MO to Henry George and Sallie Ann (Warwick) Brown.
Survivors include one brother, Henry Allen Brown of Rayville; two nephews, Loren Turnage and Norman Brown; four nieces, Opal Laverne Kindall, Janet Cook, Mary L. Tanner and Charlotte Johnson; several great, great-great and great-great-great nieces and nephews also survives.
In addition to her parents, Irene was preceded in death by three brothers, Forrest Vernon Brown, Edwin Brown and Glenn Warwick Brown; and one sister, Edna Marguerite Turnage.
Irene worked as a bookkeeper for several construction companies in the Kansas City area before retiring from Topsy's in 1983. She was a member of the Rayville Christian Union Church.
The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the Rayville Christian Union Church.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, March 26, 2012 at 10:30 a.m. at Rayville Christian Union Church. Visitation will be Monday, March 26, 2012 from 10:00 a.m. to 10:30 p.m. at the Church. Burial will be in the Union Cemetery near Lawson, MO. Thurman Funeral Home in Richmond is in charge of the arrangements. On line condolences may be left at www.thurmanfuneralhome.com
