MADGE JOHNSON

Madge Johnson, 82, of Hardin, MO died at 3:19 p.m. on Wednesday, June 22, 2011 at Ray County Memorial Hospital in Richmond, MO.
Madge was born on November 25, 1928 in Ray County to M.H. "Jack" and Ruby Irene (Shaw) McCorkendale. She married Lewis E. "Eddie" Johnson on January 3, 1948; he preceded her in death on August 15, 1979.
Survivors include three sons and daughters-in-law, Joe and Jana Johnson of Hardin, MO, Gary Johnson of Huntsville, AR and Danny and Vicki Johnson of Hardin; five grandchildren and their spouses, Mindi and Aaron Crook, Travis and Jay Johnson, Janie Johnson, Chantell Johnson and Damon Johnson; 2 great-grandchildren, Abram Crook and Cash Cunningham.
In addition to her parents and husband, Madge was preceded in death by one brother, Frazier "Doc" McCorkendale and a daughter-in-law, Yvonne Johnson.
Madge was a homemaker. She had worked at the Hardin School for several years.
She was a member of the Hardin Baptist Church. She had lived in the Rockingham and Hardin areas most of her life. She was a member of the Hardin American Legion Auxillary.
The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the American Diabetes Association or the Hardin Baptist Church.



Funeral services will be held on Saturday, June 25, 2011 at 10:00 a.m. at Thurman Funeral Home in Richmond. Visitation will be held on Friday, June 24, 2011 from 7:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Thurman Funeral Home. Thurman Funeral Home in Richmond is in charge of the arrangements.
