MARGARET R. "MARGO" DAVIS

Margaret R. "Margo" Davis, 90, of Richmond, MO died Wednesday, October 14, 2015 at her home.

Margo was born on February 8, 1925 in Wellington, MO to Jacob and Mary (Davicic) Rukavina. She married Ernest A. "Sparky" Davis of Richmond on November 10, 1951. He preceded her in death on February 7, 1991.

Survivors include one son and daughter-in-law, Jack D. and Shirley Davis of Richmond; one daughter and son-in-law, Jill D. and Dan Wirth of Richmond; two grandchildren, Casey Dean Davis and Theresa Lynn Strain; and two great-grandchildren, Carter and Miles Strain.

In addition to her parents and husband, Margo was preceded in death by two brothers, Joseph Rukavina and Jakob Rukavina who died in infancy.

Margo was a machine operator at Lake City Arsenal. She also worked at Whitaker Cable. She was of the Methodist faith. She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary Unit #237. She was also a member of the 8/40 Salon #764 de Missouri. Margo had lived in Richmond most of her life.

The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the 8/40 Salon de MO.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, October 17, 2015 at 2:30 p.m. at the Thurman Funeral Home in Richmond. Visitation will be Saturday, October 17, 2015 from 1:30 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. at Thurman Funeral Home in Richmond. Burial will be in the Wellington City Cemetery in Wellington, MO.
