MARGUERITE THERESE 'PEGGY' WOODS

Marguerite Therese "Peggy" Woods, 84 of Richmond, MO, died on Saturday, June 14, 2014 at the North Kansas City Hospital in North Kansas City, MO.
Peggy was born on December 4, 1929 in Ashland, WI to George and Marguerite (Williams) Fellman. She married William Woods of Junction City, KS on February 6, 1948. He preceded her in death on December 15, 2003.
Survivors include; three sons and daughters-in-law, Bill and Janna Woods of Springfield, MO, Bob and Karen Woods of Destin, FL, Jim and Monica Woods of Denver, CO, two daughters and a son-in-law, Pam and Bill Halfpenny of Rayville, MO and Nancy Woods of Wichita, KS. Twelve grandchildren and fourteen great-grandchildren also survive.
In addition to her parents and husband, Peggy was preceded in death by a brother, George Fellman.
Peggy was a teacher's aide for the Salina, KS Board of Education and K-State University of Continuing Education. She graduated from St. Mary's Academy in Leavenworth, KS. She had lived in Salina, KS and Destin, FL before moving to Richmond in 2003.
The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the Children's Tumor Foundation "C.T.F."


Graveside services with burial will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, June 19, 2014 at the Missouri State Veteran's Cemetery in Springfield, MO. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, June 18, 2014 from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. at the Thurman Funeral Home in Richmond. On line condolences may be left on our website at www.thurmanfuneralhome.com.
