MARIE ANNETTE PROFFITT

Marie Annette Proffitt, 50, of Richmond, MO died at 4:23 a.m. on Saturday, June 12, 2010 at her home.
Annette was born on July 13, 1959 in Richmond, MO to George M. and Anna Lee (Duffett) Ashley. She married Bobby Gene Proffitt of Richmond, MO on November 13, 1981.
Survivors include; her husband, Bobby Gene Proffitt of the home, one son, Loren Gene Proffitt of Richmond, MO her parents, George M. and Anna Lee Ashley of Richmond, MO, one sister and brother-in-law, Bonita Lynn and Kyle Dunwoodie of Richmond, MO, one nephew, Dane Dunwoodie and one niece Megan Dunwoodie, both of Independence, MO.
Annette was an active member of the Richmond Christian Chapel and was a Sunday School Teacher for several years. She was a 4-H Club and Project Leader. She was a Team Leader for Relay For Life for ten years. Annette worked for Ed Sartain-State Farm Insurance for over twenty years. She was a lifelong Richmond area resident.
The family suggests memorial contributions be made to either the Richmond Christian Chapel or to Crossroads Hospice.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, June 16, 2010 at 1:30 p.m. at the Richmond Christian Chapel. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, June 15, 2010 from 7:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Thurman Funeral Home in Richmond. Inurnment in Richmond Memory Gardens Cemetery will be at a later date.
