MARJORIE JEAN (DAVIS) NOLKER

Marjorie Jean (Davis) Nolker, 85, of Pittsburg, Mo. died December 4, 2016, at the Hermitage Care Center in Hermitage, MO. She was born March 31, 1931, near Richmond. She married Frank Nolker on April 11, 1949.

Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her step-father William (Willie) Mitchell, one son William (Bill) Nolker, one grandson Scott Nolker, one grand-daughter-in-law Misty Lynn Nolker & baby and one great-grandson Mason Allen.

Marjorie attended the Knutter Grade School and Richmond High School, graduating in 1949. Besides being a loving wife & mother, she worked outside the home at various jobs in Richmond and surrounding area. Margie loved to dance, attend the Farris Opry, collecting antiques and being with her family and friends. In 1985, they retired and moved to Pittsburg, MO. on Pomme de Terre Lake. She loved to travel and started collecting Jewel Tea dishes and all kinds of dolls. Margie was a member of the Pommendors and the Happy Hoe-Dancers square dance clubs.

Survivors include her husband Frank Nolker of the home, one son & wife Mike and Barb Nolker of Richmond, one daughter & husband Pam and Brian Petty of Smithville, 8 grandchildren, 33 great-grandchildren, 7 great-great-grandchildren and many nephews & nieces.

Visitation will be from 6 to 7 with a celebration of life service at 7pm on Friday, December 16, 2016, at the Thurman Funeral Home in Richmond. Inurnment will be at a later date. Memorial contributions may be made to the Old Union-Christian Union Cemetery Fund at Rayville, MO.
