MARJORIE B. KING
Marjorie B. King, 78, of Richmond, MO, died at 12:20 a.m., Tuesday, May 25, 2010, at the Ray County Memorial Hospital in Richmond.
Mrs. King was born on June 9, 1931 in Camden, MO to Arthur J. and Mayme (Welchel) Shelton. She married Delbert F. King of Camden on April 7, 1946; he preceded her in death on December 26, 2006.
Survivors include two daughters and sons-in-law, Joyce and Terry Jellum of Richmond, and Judy and Keith Rash of Richmond; two grandchildren and their spouses, Phillip and Lilly Calvert and Angela and Shawn Dujakovich; three great-grandchildren, Jonathan and Jade Calvert, and Grace Dujakovich; four step-grandchildren; and eight step-great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by one son, Donald F. King; and two brothers, Junior L. Shelton and Marvin E. Shelton.
Mrs. King was an inspector at Lake City Arsenal for 20 years before retiring in 1988. She lived in the Camden and Richmond areas most of her life. She was a Baptist.
The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the American Heart Association.
Funeral services will be Friday, May 28, at 11:00 a.m. at the Thurman Funeral Home, Richmond, MO. Visitation will be Thursday, May 27, from 7:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Thurman Funeral Home, Richmond, MO. Burial will be at Richmond Memory Gardens, Richmond, MO. Thurman Funeral Home, Richmond, MO is in charge of the arrangements.
