MARTHA L. KOGER

Martha L. Koger, 80, of Richmond, MO passed away on Friday, March 20, 2015 at Shirkey Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Richmond.

Martha was born on July 26, 1934 the daughter of Thomas Burk, Sr., and Blanche Jane (Palmer) Burk in Eldorado Springs, MO.

She grew up in south Missouri and lived in the area surrounding Richmond for most of her adult life. Martha was a mother, homemaker and caregiver. She enjoyed her grandchildren, outdoor flower garden and bird watching.

Martha was the sixth of eleven children. She was preceded in death by her late husband, Donald Koger Sr., her brothers, Thomas Leinul Burk, Jesse Marion (Jack) Burk, Leslie Henry (Pete) Burk; and by two sisters, Lilly Dell (Burk) Hillsman and Margie Marie (Burk) Frayling; as well as her daughter, Dianna Lynn (Koger) Snyder.

Martha is survived by her brothers, Roy Burk of Richomond, Raymond Burk of Hardin; her sisters, Betty Wooden of Braymer, Shirley Burk of Richmond and Dorothy Hadley of Oregon. Martha's surviving children are Kathy (Koger) Garner of Richmond, Donald Koger, Jr., of Polo, MO and Terry Koger of Richmond. Martha had eleven grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren.

Memorial services will held on Thursday, March 26, 2015 at 6:30p.m. at Thurman Funeral Home in Richmond. Inurnment will be at a later date. Thornton in Richmond.
