Martha Lean Ray, 88, of Dover, died Wednesday, July 31, 2019, at Lafayette Regional Hospital in Lexington.

Martha was born on August 20, 1930, in Ray County, the daughter of George and Minnie (Knauss) Robertson.  She was united in marriage to George William Ray of Dover on May 28, 1949; he preceded her in death on March 10, 2013.

Survivors include: one son, Mike Ray of Dover; and four nieces: Sharon Welch, Minnie Johnson, Jewellanna Skaggs, and Gloria Driskell.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, one brother, Harold Robertson, three sisters, Lauretta Steele, Mildred Buhrmeister, and one infant sister, June Robertson.

Martha was a housewife and homemaker.  She never met anyone she didn't like.  Martha was of the Methodist faith.  She enjoyed her animals and gardening.  Martha loved all of her family.
