MARY ELIZABETH ADAMS

Mary Elizabeth Adams, 92, of Norborne, MO died at 6:02 p.m. on Thursday, December 8, 2011 at the Carroll House in Carrollton, MO.
Mary was born on August 19, 1919 in Norborne, MO to William Bernard and Teresa Elizabeth (Boehmer) Wilts. She married John Thomas Adams of Norborne on April 10, 1939; he preceded her in death on January 30, 1995.
Survivors include; two sons and one daughter-in-law, John Francis Adams of Norborne and William T. "Tom" and Judith Anne Adams of Norborne; one daughter and son-in-law, Judith Anne and Thomas Lagemann of New Haven, MO; 8 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents and husband, Mary was preceded in death by
one son, John Thomas Adams, Jr., who died in infancy; two brothers, William Francis Wilts and Jarvis Wilts; one granddaughter, Tracie Lagemann; and two great grandchildren, Aiden Poteet and infant Ornelas.
Mary was a homemaker. She was a member of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Norborne and the St. Anne's Altar Society. Mary was a lifelong Norborne resident.
The family suggests that memorials be made to the Sacred Heart Catholic Cemetery, Norborne, MO.


Funeral Mass will be held on Monday, December 12, 2011 at 10:30 a.m. at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Norborne. Visitation will be held on Sunday, December 11, 2011 from 7:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Thurman Funeral Home in Norborne, where the rosary will be recited at 6:30 p.m. Burial will be in the Sacred Heart Catholic Cemetery, east of Norborne. Thurman Funeral Home in Norborne is in charge of the arrangements.
