Mary Maxine Benton, 91, of Richmond, passed away on September 26, 2024, in Independence.

Mary was born on August 13, 1933, in Richmond.  On June 29,1960 she was united in marriage to Herbert L. Benton of Kansas City, KS; he preceded her in death on January 13, 2018.

Survivors include: son, Mark Aaron (Sheri) Benton of Claycomo; sister, Sue Levi of Kansas City; seven grandchildren; and eight great -grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, two sons, Timothy John Benton and Thomas Matthew Benton, brother, Howard Killian, and sister, Virginia Jelnick.

Mary was a graduate of Richmond High School.  She was a member of Christ Evangelical Lutheran Church in Richmond.  Mary enjoyed traveling and collecting different items.  She will be missed by her family and friends.
