MARY JOAN CLARK
Mary Joan Clark, 63, of Richmond, MO, died at 7:08 p.m. on Friday, November 18, 2011 at the Northland Hospice House in North Kansas City, MO.
Joan was born on October 18, 1948 in Hannibal, MO to Floyd E. and Margaret T. (Godert) Martin. She married Dennis R. Clark of Kansas City, MO on May 10, 1988. He survives of the home.
Additional survivors include; two sons and one daughter-in-law, Johnny Robertson, Terry and Dana Robertson of Hannibal, MO, one daughter and son-in law, Margaret and Perry Samp of Huntsville, MO, one brother, Floyd Martin, Jr. of Hannibal, MO, two sisters and one brother-in-law, Edna Lambert of Hannibal, MO, Ann and Gene Hellwege of Hardin, MO, nine grandchildren and one great-grandchild also survive.
In addition to her parents, Joan was preceded in death by one sister, Dorothy Jean Martin, who died in infancy.
Joan was a self-employed beautician. She was a CNA and a CMT at Shirkey Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Richmond. She was a member of the Church of Christ. She grew up in Hannibal, MO, moved to Moberly, MO in 1980, before moving to Richmond in 1993.
The family suggests memorial contributions be made to Northland Hospice.


Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, November 22, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. at the Thurman Funeral Home in Richmond. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, November 22, 2011 from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the Thurman Funeral Home in Richmond. Inurnment will be at a later date.
