Mary Beth Cringan, 76, of Liberty, passed away Thursday, July 9, 2026, at Pleasant Valley Care Center in Liberty.

Mary Beth was born on July 24, 1949, in Excelsior Springs, the daughter of David (Bud) and Dortha (Middleton) Cringan.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her loving cats and dogs. Mary Beth was a graduate of Camden Grade School, then completed high school with the 1967 Richmond High School class. Mary Beth worked for 11 years for Sears, as a data entry operator. She then worked for Farmland Industries for 30 years before retiring. Mary Beth was a member of Platte Woods United Methodist Church. She was also a member of the Ray County Genealogical Association. She was a consummate story teller, family historian, had a great sense of humor, loved traveling and Scotland. She was appreciated and loved by nearly everyone she met.

A visitation with memorial services will be held on Monday, August 24, 2026, at Thurman Funeral Home in Richmond, with visitation beginning at 12:00 P.M., with services to follow at 1:00 P.M.  Inurnment will be held in Southpoint Cemetery, Orrick.
