MARY I. "ISA" MERCER

Mary I. "ISA" Mercer, 93, of Richmond, MO died at 5:36 p.m. on Monday, November 14, 2011 at the Ray County Memorial Hospital in Richmond, MO.
Mary was born on September 16, 1918 in Rayville, MO to Clyde Franklin and Mary Elizabeth (Crabtree) Roudebush. She married George Edwin Mercer of Stet, MO on June 11, 1964; he preceded her in death on January 25, 1984.
Survivors include one sister, Georgia Sinderson of Holt, MO; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren and several great-great-grandchildren; and one daughter, Mary Brock of Shawnee Mission KS.
In addition to her parents and husband, Mary was preceded in death by 5 sons, George "Bud" Mercer, J.W. Mercer, David Mercer, Francis Mercer and Gene Mercer; one daughter, Shirley Branstietter; and two sisters, Dora Bales and Betsy Tate.
Mary was a seamstress for Dunbrooke shirt factory in Lexington, MO for several years. She was also a foster grandparent for 13 years. She was of the Christian faith. She had lived in the Richmond most of her life
The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the Mary I. Mercer fund.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, November 18, 2011 at 10:30 a.m. at the Thurman Funeral Home in Richmond. Visitation will be Thursday, November 17, 2011 from 7:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Thurman Funeral Home. Burial will be in the Richmond Memory Gardens Cemetery in Richmond.
