MARY FRANCES (HAMILTON) RAGSDALE

Mary Frances Ragsdale, 86, of Norborne, MO, passed quietly into the loving arms of her Lord at 8:48 p.m. on Friday, November 27, 2009 at the Shirkey Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Richmond, MO with her family present.
Mary Frances was born on April 26, 1923 in Norborne, MO, the youngest child of Joseph Henry and Martha (Waters) Hamilton. She married Charles Daniel Ragsdale of Norborne, MO on July 6, 1940. He preceded her in death on November 4, 2004, after sixty-four years of marriage.
Survivors include; one son , Charles David Ragsdale of Tipton, MO, two daughters and two sons-in-law, Darla Frances and Wendell Ray Halterman of Norborne, MO, Patricia Ann and Arthur Thomas Enss of Norborne, MO, seven grandchildren and their spouses, Chris Enss, Scott Enss, Rick Enss, Anthony Halterman, Ashley Weaver, Chad Ragsdale, Melissa Harris, great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, along with several nieces and nephews also survive.
In addition to her parents and husband, Mary Frances was preceded in death by, five brothers, Pat Hamilton, Joseph Hamilton, Jr., Jessie Hamilton, Percell Hamilton, Russell Hamilton, four sisters, Ida Mae Poe, Edith Frances, Bessie Ritzinger, Marjorie Brooke, one grandson, Stephen Halterman and one step great grandson, Danny Eads.
Mary Frances was a member of the Norborne First Baptist Church, where she taught Sunday School and Vacation Bible School during her many years of service to the church. She was a past president of the VFW Auxiliary in Carrollton, MO. She was a lifelong resident of Norborne, where she had many friends and acquaintances' and was active in many other local community activities during her lifetime.
The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the Norborne First Baptist Church.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, December 2, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. at the Norborne First Baptist Church. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, December 2, 2009 from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the church. Burial will be in Fairhaven Cemetery on Norborne. Thurman Funeral Home in Norborne is in charge of the arrangements.
