MARY KATHERINE WELLS

Mary Katherine Wells, 98, of Richmond, MO died at 8:14 a.m. on Sunday, June 26, 2011 at her home.
Mary was born on November 27, 1912 in Cowgill, MO to Ira George and Ethel (McCollough) Hendrix. She married Guy Howard (Buster) Wells of Cowgill on January 14, 1933; he preceded her in death on June 27, 1990.
Survivors include her sister, Betty Lou Davis of Richmond; brother and sister-in-law, Wendell and Shirley Hendrix of Richmond; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband, Mary was preceded in death by a brother, Robert George Hendrix; and two sisters, Marjorie Kincaid and Colene Kincaid.
Mary was a homemaker and worked on the farm. She helped take care of family. She was very devoted to her church St. Paul Christian Union Church where she had attended until she was unable to go because of her failing health.
"Thank you" to the excellent care given by Cindy Nichols and Mary's family, so that she was able to stay in her home.
The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the St. Paul Christian Union Church east of Knoxville, MO or the Crossroads Hospice.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, June 29, 2011 at 10:30 a.m. at the Thurman Funeral Home in Richmond. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, June 28, 2011 from 7:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Thurman Funeral Home. Burial will be held in the Richmond Memory Gardens in Richmond.
