MAXINE N. (VIALLE) ESLINGER
Maxine N. (Vialle) Eslinger, 91, of Hardin, MO died Tuesday, September 24, 2013 at Shirkey Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Richmond, MO.
Maxine was born on January 3, 1922 in Osage City, KS to Eugene Augusta and Jennie (Giorza) Vialle. She married Shelby Lee Eslinger on January 22, 1946; her beloved husband of 64 years preceded her in death on August 31, 2010.
Survivors include one daughter and son-in-law, Barbara Ann and Bob Fifer of Hardin, MO; one granddaughter Amy Deitch and her husband, Jim of Norborne, MO; one grandson, Robert Scott and his wife, Johnna Fifer of Hardin, MO; four great-grandchildren, Haylee Elizabeth Deitch, Libby Kate Fifer, Zachary Todd Deitch and Brody Scott Fifer; and several nieces and nephews also survive.
In addition to her parents and husband, Maxine was preceded in death by three brothers, Eugene Vialle, Emile Vialle and Norman Vialle; and six sisters, Margerite Guillou, Blanche Woodruff, Ginny Sharp, Frances Simonetti, June Vialle and Colleen Atkinson.
Maxine was born in Osage City, KS then lived in Lexington, MO before moving to the Hardin area in 1946. She was a 1939 graduate of Lexington High School. Maxine was a member of the Hardin United Methodist Church where she was a Communion Steward and a member of the Church BRICK Class. She was a member of the Hardin American Legion Auxiliary. She was a homemaker, loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.
The family suggests memorial contributions be made to either the Hardin United Methodist Church or to the Hardin Cemetery Association.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, September 28, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. at Thurman Funeral Home in Richmond, MO. Visitation will be held on Saturday, September, 28, 2013 from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. at Thurman Funeral Home in Richmond. Burial will be in the Hardin Cemetery.
