Michael S. Harris, Sr., 71, of Rayville, died on Sunday, April 21, 2019 at his residence.

Michael was born on March 9, 1948, in Kansas City, the son of Eugene Henry and Nila Jean (Mayes) Harris.

Survivors include: one son, Michael S. (April) Harris, Jr.; two brothers, Terry Harris and David Harris; two sisters, Gina (Jim) Hudson and Connie (Wayne) Sroufe; three grandchildren: Mallorie, Makayla and Ruger.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Donnie Harris.

Michael graduated from Breckenridge High School in 1964.  Michael was a car hauler with Jack Cooper Transportation in Kansas City, until he retired.  He enjoyed farming, was an avid hunter, and loved traveling.  Above all, he enjoyed spending time with his children and grandchildren.
