MILDRED LOUISE RODGERS

Mildred Louise Rodgers, 87, Richmond, MO, died at 1:24 p.m. on Friday, June 3, 2011 at the Pleasant Hill Rehabilitation Center in Pleasant Hill, MO.
Mildred was born on February 2, 1924 in Richmond, Mo to Harry Edward and Annie L. (Branson) Sheets. She married Charles Chester Rodgers, Jr. of Richmond, MO, on March 3, 1946. He preceded her in death on March 31, 2009.
Survivors include; one son and daughter-in-law, Larry Wayne and Susan Rodgers of Newburgh, IN, one daughter and son-in-law, Nancy Ann and Dan Donovan of Pleasant Hill, MO, one sister, Dorothy O'Dell of Orrick, MO, six grandchildren and their spouses, Chad and Cammy Rodgers, Kimberly and Jim Stoltz, Chris Rodgers, Justin and Jennifer Wyse, Ryan and Jennifer Wyse, Deanna and Tim Miller, eleven great-grandchildren; Christian, Hunter, Bryan, Lynzee, Megan, Parker, Tyler, Madison, Jackson, Colton and Alyssa.
In addition to her parents, Mildred was preceded in death by one brother, Roy Sheets.
Mildred was a homemaker, beautician and a lifelong member of the Richmond First Baptist Church. She was also a member of the United Federation of Dolls, Kansas City Chapter for over thirty years, making, dressing and repairing dolls as a hobby.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be made to the Missouri Baptist Childrens Home.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, June 7, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. at the Thurman Funeral Home in Richmond. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, June 7, 2011 from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the Thurman Funeral Home in Richmond. Burial will be in the Richmond Memory Gardens Cemetery.
