MILDRED MAE THOMPSON
Mildred Mae Thompson, 85, of Richmond, MO and formerly of Stockton, MO died on Wednesday, March 21, 2012 at 3:58 p.m. at her home.
Mildred was born on August 16, 1926 in Missouri City, MO to Leslie Kirk and Lillian Jewell (Seek) Davis. She married Clifton Eugene Thompson of Richmond on October 26, 1946; he preceded her in death on December 1, 1998.
Survivors include one daughter, Donna Wilson and her fiancé, Richard Charriere of Kansas City, MO; one grandson, James Wilson and his wife Christy of Peculiar, MO; three great-granddaughters, Ryann Wilson, Payton Wilson and Laynee Wilson all of the home; and one sister, Dora Millsap of Richmond.
In addition to her parents and husband, Mildred was preceded in death by one brother, Frankie Davis and sister, Hughetta Young.
Mildred graduated from Camden High School and then attended secretary school. She had worked as a secretary and office manager for the Kansas City Housing Authority until she retired. She had lived in Stockton and Independence, MO before moving to Richmond in 1999. She was a member of the Fleming Christian Union Church.
The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the Fleming Baptist Church.
Graveside services will be held on Monday, March 26, 2012 at 1:30 p.m. at Richmond Memory Gardens Cemetery. Visitation will be from 12:30 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. at Thurman Funeral Home in Richmond. Thurman Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
