MYLA MAY CHANEY

Myla May Chaney, 100, of Richmond, MO died Monday, May 16, 2016 at Shirkey Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Richmond.

Myla was born on May 10, 1916 in Camden, MO to Guy Arthur and Ethel M. (Mosby) Rogers. She married Leroy Temple Chaney of Lexington, MO on August 31, 1936. He preceded her in death on September 24, 1996.

Survivors include; two daughters and two sons-in-law, Wanda and Marion Sullard of Richmond and Joy and Otis Barchers of Liberty, MO; 9 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and 19 great-great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents and husband, Myla was preceded in death by three brothers, Guy Arthur Rogers, Jr., George E. Rogers and Gene Rogers; three sisters, Lottie Louise Lampton, Marie Elziabeth Bales and Lucetta Clay; and two grandchildren.

Myla was a homemaker. She worked at Lake City Arsenal. She also worked at Fall Springs in North Kansas City and at the carnival. Myla was a lifelong Ray County Resident. She was of the Christian faith.

Memorial services will be held on Friday, June 3, 2016 at 5:00 p.m. at the Ray County Library. Inurnment will be in the Richmond Memory Gardens Cemetery following the service. Online condolences maybe left on our website at www.thurmanfuneralhome.com
