MYRTLE LUCILLE COX

Myrtle Lucille Cox, 94, of Richmond, MO and formerly of the Knoxville area, died Wednesday, January 30, 2013 at Shirkey Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Richmond.
Myrtle was born on November 7, 1918 in Gallatin, MO. She married William Nevin Cox of Gallatin, MO on March 20, 1937; he preceded her in death on November 1, 2003.
Survivors include; one son and daughter-in-law, Dean and Susan Cox of Kansas City, MO; one daughter and son-in-law, Marsha and David Robinson of Richmond; four grandchildren, Nancy Pearson, Christopher Cox, Paul David Robinson and Cari and Randall Rumbaugh; seven great-grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren also survive.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by one son, Gerald Nevin Cox, one daughter Norma Sue Cox, who died in infancy, two brothers, Homer B. Whitt and Lewis J. Whitt.
Myrtle was a homemaker. She was co-owner of Cox's General Store in Knoxville. She was a member of the Knoxville Community Church. She lived in the Knoxville area most of her life before moving to Richmond in 1991.
The family suggest memorial contributions be made to the Knoxville Community Church.


Funeral services will be held on Saturday, February 2, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at the Thurman Funeral Home in Richmond. Visitation will be Saturday, February 2, 2012 from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at the Thurman Funeral Home in Richmond. Burial will be in the Centenary Cemetery, east of Gallatin, MO.
