NAOMI GREEN JACKSON
Naomi Green Jackson, 91, of Richmond, MO, died at 2:20 p.m. on Sunday, May 16, 2010, at the Valley Nursing & Rehab Center in Excelsior Springs, MO.
Naomi was born on July 18, 1918 in Rayville, MO to Bird and Josephine "Jodi" (Bailey) Heath. She first married Edgar Green of Rayville, MO on November 3, 1934. He preceded her in death on August 7, 1970. She later married Carl Jackson of Richmond, MO on June 21, 1983. He preceded her in death on December 2, 1989.
Survivors include; one son and daughter-in-law, Sam and Gale Green of Richmond, MO, four daughters and four sons-in-law, Grace and Al Millsap of Trenton, MO, Juanita and Bob Noble of Kearney, MO, Edna and Roy Wilson of Excelsior Springs, MO, Stella and Richard McIntosh of Cameron, MO, two sisters, Florence Williams of Richmond, MO, Nellie Lugenbeel of Orrick, MO, one step-son and his wife, Bill and Billy Jean Stevens of Centerview, MO, thirteen grandchildren, thirty-eight great grandchildren and forty-four great-great grandchildren.
In addition to her parents and two husbands, Naomi was preceded in death by five brothers, Emmett Heath, Millard Heath, Charlie Burnium, Byrd Heath and Flem Heath. Three sisters, Patsy Green, Ruth Rhodes, Bessie Heath and one granddaughter, Linda Noble, also preceded her in death.
Naomi was a homemaker. She was a member of the Union Baptist Church and attended the Camden Baptist Church. She worked in the housekeeping department at the Ray County Memorial Hospital for several years. She had lived in Richmond, MO most of her life.
The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the American Cancer Society.
Funeral services will be on Wednesday, May 19, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. at the Thurman Funeral Home in Richmond, MO. Visitation will be on Wednesday, May 19, 2010 from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the Thurman Funeral Home in Richmond, MO. Burial will be in the Union Cemetery near Orrick, MO.
