NELLIE ANN RIMMER

Nellie Ann Rimmer, 85, of Belton, Mo and formerly of the Richmond, Mo area died Saturday, November 12, 2016 at Research Medical Center, Kansas City, Mo.

Nellie was born on March 23, 1931 in Richmond, MO to Gus T. and Mattie (Feeney) MacDonald.  She married Wilbur Gene Rimmer of Orrick, MO on November 22, 1947; he preceded her in death on December 6, 2014.

Survivors include; one son and daughter-in-law, Steve G. and Becky Rimmer of Leawood, Ks; one sister and brother-in-law, Sarah and Dale Botts of Meadville, MO; three grandchildren, Taylor Rimmer, Olivia Rimmer and Madeleine Rimmer; and one sister-in-law, Emma MacDonald.

In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by one son, Michael Rimmer, who died in infancy; two brothers, Harold MacDonald and Robert MacDonald; and one sister, Naomi Ross.

Nellie was a Cosmetologist.  She had been a member of the Christian Church in Richmond. Nellie enjoyed helping her husband on the family farm. Nellie had lived most of her life in the Kansas City and surrounding area.

The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the St. Thomas the Apostle Episcopal Church for Thom's Helpers. Memorials can be either left at Thurman Funeral Home or mailed to 12251 Antioch Road, Overland Park, KS  66204.

Memorial services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, November 19, 2016 at Thurman Funeral Home in Richmond.  Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. until service time at the funeral home.  Inurnment will be in South Point Cemetery in Orrick.  On line condolences may be left to the family at www.thurmanfuneralhome.com
