NORINE E. SIMPSON

Norine E. Simpson, 90, of Hardin, MO and formerly of the Lakeview Community, died at 10:30 p.m., Saturday, March 28, 2009, at Shirkey Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Richmond, MO.
Norine was born September 30, 1918 in rural Hardin, MO to Thomas Frazier and Mary Ann (Fifer) McCorkendale. She married Claud Simpson of Greensburg, KY on December 5, 1936; he preceded her in death on October 16, 1985.
Survivors include; two step-daughters, Ruth Simpson of St. Charles, MO, and Doris Sprock of Fenton, MO; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by one step-daughter, Alene Weisbrod, three brothers, William "Bill" McCorkendale, M.H. "Jack" McCorkendale, and Harold "Cork" McCorkendale; and three sisters, Lilly Clark, Geneva Evans, and Deila Ballard.
Norine lived most of her life in the Lakeview Community and moved to Hardin in 1986. She was a homemaker. She was of the Baptist faith.
The family suggests memorial contributions be made to Ideal Industries in Richmond, MO.

Funeral services will be Tuesday, March 31, at 11:00 a.m. at the Thurman Funeral Home in Richmond, MO. Visitation will be Tuesday, March 31, from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be at the Hardin Cemetery, Hardin, MO. Thurman Funeral Home, Richmond, MO is in charge of the arrangements.
