Norma Jane Stevens, 84, of Norborne, died Thursday, November 21, 2019, at Life Care Center in Carrollton.

Norma was born on May 7, 1935, in St. Louis, the daughter of William J. and Hilda (Smith) Hughes.  She was united in marriage to Lawrence B. "Larry" Stevens of Norborne on September 22, 1955; he preceded her in death on February 10, 2016.

Survivors include: two sons, Dennis (Peggy) Stevens of Norborne and Daniel (Laurie) Stevens of Scottsdale, AZ; one daughter, Doreen (Mark) Kinworthy of St. Peters; 8 grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and one brother, Charles Hughes.

Norma was reared and educated in St. Louis.  She moved to the Norborne area in 2002, to be close to her son, Dennis.  Norma was a housewife and homemaker and of the Christian faith.  Her favorite hobby was watching butterflies.  Norma will be missed dearly by her family and friends, especially her son, Dennis.
