NORMAN G. STRATHMAN

Norman G. Strathman, 86, of Norborne, MO died on Saturday July 12, 2014 at the Carroll House in Carrollton, Mo.
Norm was born on May 22, 1928 in Carroll County, MO to Albert J. Strathman, Sr. and Mary V. Webb. He married Muriel E. Gieschen of Smithton, MO on September 15, 1951. She preceded him in death on January 22, 2001.
Survivors include; five children and their spouses; Richard "Rocky" and Dorothy Strathman of Norborne, MO William "Hank" Strathman of Jerusalem, Israel, Jeffrey and Carlene Strathman of Carrollton, MO Dan Strathman of Ft. Smith, AR and Nancy and Steve Browne of Panama City, FL; five grandchildren also survive, Micah Strathman, Tucker Browne, Hannah Browne, Aubrey Browne and Benjamin Browne.
In addition to his parents and wife, Norm was preceded in death by a brother, Albert J. Strathman, Jr.
Norm was a 1946 graduate of Norborne High School. He was a United States Marine Corps Veteran. He received his B. S. degree in agriculture from the University of Missouri. He was a pharmaceutical rep for over 25 years. He was of the Christian faith. He was a farmer and lifelong Carroll County resident.
The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the Fairhaven Cemetery Board.


Funeral services will be held on Thursday, July 17, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. at the Thurman Funeral Home in Norborne, Mo. Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 17, 2014 from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the Thurman Funeral Home in Norborne. Burial will be in Fairhaven Cemetery in Norborne.
