Obituary

Pamela Eileen McCollum 54, a resident of Norborne passed away at her home on April 21, 2025. She was born November 1, 1970, in Independence, the daughter of Janice Ross.

Pam is survived by two sons, Christopher (Sara) McCollum and Thomas Christopher McCollum; one daughter, Beth Ann (Amber Skeens) McCollum; brother, Phillip Buie; sister, Sharon (David) Russell; and three grandchildren, William Skeens, Nathan Skeens, and Carter McCollum.

She was preceded in death by her mother, aunt, Connie Shannon, uncle, Larry Shannon, and cousin, Rodney Shannon.

Pam was a devoted and loving mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. Her greatest joy in life was her family, and she dedicated every fiber of her heart to loving and caring for her children and grandchildren. Her boundless love and unwavering support were the foundation of her relationships, and she touched the lives of all who knew her.

Pam found joy in life's simple pleasures. She loved spending time with a good book, cheering on her favorite wrestling stars, experimenting in the kitchen, and creating beautiful handmade pieces through her passion for crocheting. A proud and loyal fan of the Kansas City Chiefs and Royals, Pam rarely missed a chance to cheer for her teams.

From the age of 12, Pam faced significant health challenges, but she refused to let them define her. She met every struggle with grace and a radiant smile, showing those around her the true meaning of resilience and positivity.

Pam's memory will live on in the hearts of her family, friends, and everyone fortunate enough to have known her. Her love, strength, and kindness will continue to inspire those she leaves behind. She will be deeply missed but lovingly remembered.
