PATRICK MICHAEL JOYCE

Patrick M. Joyce, 68, of Richmond, MO, died Saturday, March 19, 2011 at the Ray County Memorial Hospital in Richmond.
Patrick was born on April 26, 1942 in Heartwell, NE the son of Lawrence and Gladys (Haws) Joyce. He married Shirley Woessner of Chicago, IL on April 11, 1962; they later divorced.
Survivors include four daughters, Patty Reno and (Paul) of Rayville, MO, Sharon McGinnis (Chris) of Richmond, Tammy Smith of Richmond and Janet Farrell of Lexington; best friend, Donna Story of Richmond; one step-daughter, Kathy Stockton; 9 grandchildren, Stephanie Leakey, Dillon Smith, Patrick McGinnis, Christina McGinnis, Dwayne Joyce, Ashley Williams, Tiffany Abbott, Marcus Fields and Rainey Stockton; 4 great-grandchildren, Adrianna Abbott, Daxton (Tiger) McGinnis, Aiden Joyce and Kobe Bolling; one brother and sister-in-law, Jim and Irene Joyce of Lincoln, NE; two sisters and brother-in-law, Sharen and Buck Christensen of Minden, NE and Sally Joyce of Kearney, NE.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by two sisters, Bev Bates and Jean Fisher.
Patrick worked most of his life in the Richmond area for Cave Tire in Wood Heights, Mo, Orbseal in Richmond and at Cliff Oliphant's Standard Stations. He lived most of his life in the Richmond area. He was of the Christian faith.
The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the Patrick Joyce memorial fund.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, March 23, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. at the Thurman Funeral Home in Richmond. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, March 23, 2011 an hour prior to services. Inurnment will be held at a later date in the Joyce Cemetery in Heartwell, NE. Thurman Funeral Home in Richmond is in charge of the arrangements.
