PATRICK W. "MR. PAT" RAILEY

Patrick W. "Mr. Pat" Railey, 69, of Richmond, MO died Thursday, February 4, 2016 at North Kansas City Hospital in North Kansas City, MO.

Pat was born on August 16, 1946 in Clay County, MO to Loren I. and Meta O. (Halterman) Railey.

Survivors include; two daughters and one son-in-law, Sandy Peterson and her significant other, Rodney Dunwoodie of Richmond and Bobbie and Kevin Johnson of Richmond; one brother, Jim Railey of Richmond; 3 grandchildren, Yolanda Lewis and her husband, Charles, Tasha Peterson and her significant other, Bret Miller and Troy Patrick Sodders; two great-grandchildren, Kearia Railey and Brayden Black; two nieces, Kelley and Kayland Cooper and Brandie and Eric Parker; one step-daughter, Trisha Shurmantine of Corder, MO; two step-grandchildren; and several other children who called him Grandpa.

In addition to his parents, Pat was preceded in death by one sister, Thelma "Punkin" Monroe.

Pat worked as an assembler for General Motors for over 30 years. He was a member of the U.A.W. Union Local #93. He later worked in the maintenance in the department at the Richmond School District.

The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the Kearia Railey College Fund.

A celebration of life visitation will be held on Wednesday, February 10, 2016 from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the Thurman Funeral Home in Richmond. Inurnment will be in the Hickory Grove Cemetery at a later date. There will be a gathering of friends and family at the Smith Village Community Room on Alex Loop Road in Richmond following the visitation.
