Obituary

Paul Daniel McBee, 75, of Hardin, died unexpectedly Wednesday, July 1, 2020, at his home.

Paul was born on November 11, 1944, in Lamar, CO, the son of James W. and Charlotte L. (Baker) McBee.  He was united in marriage to Karen Joyce Frazer of Stet, MO on September 18, 1966, at the Richmond United Methodist Church; she survives of the home.

Additional survivors include: two sons, Daniel Shawn McBee (Chelsi) of Hardin and Steven Travis (Jennifer) McBee of Liberty, MO; daughter, Amanda (Russell) Chinn of San Angelo, TX; 6 grandchildren: Austin Chinn, Emily Chinn, Jack McBee, Grant McBee, Fox McBee, Breckyn McBee; brother, Richard McBee of Sun City West, AZ; two sisters-in-law, Judy McBee and Susie McBee, both of Richmond;

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers, James Junior McBee, Glen McBee, and Jimmie Dee McBee and his sister, Marge Crabill.

Paul graduated from Richmond High School in 1962.  He then went on to CMSU in Warrensburg and graduated in 1970.  Paul served his country in the United States Navy and continued to do so as a criminal investigator for the Department of Labor writing and developing most of their training manual. He was assigned to the Organized Crime Strike Force and worked on cases throughout the United States during the height of this criminal activity. He also enjoyed living on the farm and raising cattle.  He worked closely with his father-in-law (W.H Frazer Jr.) and brother-in-law (David Frazer) helping to bring the Simmental cattle breed to America.  He eventually had the National Simmental Champion bull.  In retirement, he worked with his sons on the farm.  He was a member of the New Hope United Methodist Church.  He served as president of the Hardin Central School Board for 12 years.
