PAUL JUNIOR STUART (1924-2015)
Paul Junior Stuart passed away November 26, 2015 after a brief illness. Paul was a long-time Richmond resident and along with his wife, Katie, owned and operated Stuart's Lawn and garden on old Highway 13.They moved to the Lake of the Ozarks area in 1991. After Katie's passing in 2004, Paul and his second wife, Paula, moved to Florida in 2011. He was very active as a Mason and a Shriner, and a life-long member of the United Methodist Church, both in Richmond, Laurie, and Versailles. Paul was a member of the Elks Lodge, the Moose Lodge, and the Eagles Lodge. He served in Patton's Tank Corp during World War II and fought in the Battle of the Bulge. Paul was a member of the American Legion and served in the Color Guard for decades. He is survived by his second wife, Paula, his daughter Diana (Stuart) Guthrie and her husband, Scott, five grandchildren, and numerous great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. Known by his friends as "Stu", Paul was a devoted husband, a wonderful father and grandfather. He was loved by all who knew him.
The family suggests donations may be made to the American Veterans association of your choosing.
Memorial services will be held on Saturday, January 16, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. at Thurman Funeral Home in Richmond, MO. Military honors will be provided by the Ray County Veterans in Richmond.
