PAUL EDWARD TRACY

Paul Edward Tracy, 91, of Richmond, MO, died Sunday, February 8, 2009, at Shirkey Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Richmond.
Mr. Tracy was born November 6, 1917 near Hardin, MO to Arvil Guy and Effie (O'Dell) Tracy. He married Irene Ann Zekas of Wilkes Barre, PA on July 6, 1942; she preceded him in death on November 5, 2000. He later married Willie Mabary of Richmond on January 15, 2004; she survives, of the home.
Other survivors include two sons and daughters-in-law, Richard and Sherry Tracy of Richmond, and Ted and Sheila Tracy of Richmond; one daughter and son-in-law, Barbara and Don Rasa of Higginsville, MO; one sister, Wilma Carter of Richmond; one step-daughter and her husband, Patricia and Don Ogg of Richmond; eight grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; four step-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents and first wife he was preceded in death by two brothers, Cordell Tracy and Ralph Tracy; and one sister, Helen Tracy.
Mr. Tracy was a farmer for over 50 years before retiring in 1990. He was a lifelong Ray County, MO resident. He was a member of the Hickory Grove Baptist Church where he served as a Deacon. He was a former School Board member and a former MFA Board member.
The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the Hickory Grove Baptist Church.

Funeral services will be Thursday, February 12, at 10:30 a.m. at the Thurman Funeral Home, Richmond, MO. Visitation will be Wednesday, February 11, from 7:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Thurman Funeral Home, Richmond, MO. Burial will be at Sunny Slope Cemetery, Richmond, MO.
