Phyllis Ann Moss, 62, of Richmond, died Monday, June 11, 2018 at the Excelsior Springs Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.

Phyllis was born on May 28, 1956 in Kansas City, MO to Donald Dal and Clara (Carter) Carter, Sr.

Survivors include: one daughter, Danielle Cox and her husband, Nelson of Richmond; three brothers, Donald Carter of Richmond, LeRoy Carter and his wife, Ruth of Independence and Jeff Carter and his wife Lori of Richmond; three sisters, Joyce Decker and her husband, Bill of Excelsior Springs, Robin Carter of Richmond and Terri Terranova and her husband, Petie of Richmond; two grandchildren, Tyler Connor and his wife, Amanda and Briley Zamudio and her husband, Jason; and one great-grandson, Gunner Zamudio.

In addition to her parents, Phyllis was preceded in death by a special niece, Casey Carter.

Phyllis was raised and educated in Kansas City, MO.  She had worked in the recorder's office in Jackson County.  She also owned and operated Logan's Run Bar in Kansas City.  She was a loving mother, grandmother, sister and aunt.

The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the Phyllis Ann Moss memorial fund, they may be dropped off or mailed to Thurman Funeral Home, 507 E. Main Street, P.O. Box 190, Richmond,  64085
