RAYMOND EDMUND "RAY" HODGEMAN

Raymond E. Hodgeman, 72, of Richmond, MO died Wednesday, February 28, 2018 at North Kansas City Hospital in North Kansas City, MO.

Ray was born on August 29, 1945 in Kansas City, MO to Raymond C. Hodgeman and Frances M. (Wolfe) Hodgeman. He married Janice Lynn Jackson of Richmond on May 29, 1978. She survives of the home.

Additional survivors include; one daughter, Celia Rhea Hodgeman and her partner, Jonathan Chad Gall of Richmond; one brother and sister-in-law, Bob and Robbin Hodgeman of Clinton, MO; one sister, Susan Smith of Lee's Summit, MO; and two grandsons, Alec Gabriel Hodgeman and Ashton Gage Hodgeman.

In addition to his parents, Ray was preceded in death by one son, Adam Gabriel Hodgeman.

Ray was a 1963 graduate of the Richmond High School. He proudly served his county in the Navy during Vietnam from 1963 to 1966.  Ray was a Behr operator in the paint department for the Ford Motor Company for 41 years. He was a member of the U.A.W. local union #249 in Kansas City, MO. He enjoyed golfing, fishing and spending time with his grandsons. Ray was always there to lend a helping hand or would do anything for anyone. He was a member of the Richmond Christian Union Church. He lived most of his life in Richmond.

The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the Ray E. Hodgeman memorial fund.

Memorial services will be held on Saturday, March 10, 2018 at 6:30 p.m. at Grace Church in Richmond, MO.  There will be a visitation one hour prior to services at the church.  Inurnment will be in Richmond Memory Gardens Cemetery at a later date.
